This Journey

Life is a journey, not a destination. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Though I did not ask, my daughter, smiling, suggested that I blog about my burned rice pudding today.  (And perhaps the dinner I burned the night before, too)  I usually do not burn food as I am cooking...but with a house full of people I sometimes get side tracked ( oh! wait! I forgot the cake in the oven).  I never do strive to have a perfect day.  I do strive to always try.  I never expect my kids to do things perfect either.  I do, however, expect them to learn along the way.
Life is about learning...not about perfection.  So, what did I learn...that my kids are so sweet, that even when I made a mistake...my son said, "Wow!  How did you get this rice pudding to taste like it has Maple in it?" (My husband lovingly pointed out...that's not maple flavour, son, that is carbon...Add more sugar....)

Remembering Life is a process...and looking ever forward to what a new day will bring.
