April Showers ( in Canada)

Though April Showers, may come your way
They bring the flowers that bloom in May...
So if it's raining, have no regrets,
It isn't raining rain you know,
It's raining violets...
-Al Jolson

This morning, we woke up to an ice world....as we welcome the beginning of Spring.
Here is our world today.

  1. I lovelovelovelove ice storms. As dangerous as they can be, I can't help but think they're one of the most beautiful things ever. I grew up in NC, so we didn't often get a lot of snow or ice, but one year we had the most incredible ice storm; the ground was covered in snow and everything else was covered in about a quarter of an inch of ice. Stepping outside in the morning was like stepping into a fantasy land of sparkling crystals. I've never forgotten it and I don't think I ever will. =)

    1. I agree...I grew up in the south, too...
There is something magical in an ice storm...it was a new experience for me moving to Canada...For me the most amazing thing was seeing individual blades of grasses coated in ice...
