I lovelovelovelove ice storms. As dangerous as they can be, I can't help but think they're one of the most beautiful things ever. I grew up in NC, so we didn't often get a lot of snow or ice, but one year we had the most incredible ice storm; the ground was covered in snow and everything else was covered in about a quarter of an inch of ice. Stepping outside in the morning was like stepping into a fantasy land of sparkling crystals. I've never forgotten it and I don't think I ever will. =)
I agree...I grew up in the south, too... There is something magical in an ice storm...it was a new experience for me moving to Canada...For me the most amazing thing was seeing individual blades of grasses coated in ice...
Gorgeous photos, Christina!
